Right-Angle Gearboxes

Compare square and round mounting faces, shaft and flange outputs, and low-ratio right-angle drives. See how the six series differ before opening their performance tables and drawings.

What makes each series different?

Start with the connection to your machine: mounting face, shaft or flange output, and required ratio. Use the differences below to choose a series, then open its page for size-specific ratings and drawings.

Mach will confirm your ordering part number, price and availability.

The details that matter.

Compare the series

Square face / Ball bearings

MKEB Series

A projecting output shaft with a square mounting face and ball bearings. Compare with MKEL when the mounting face shape is the deciding factor.

Output
Keyed or smooth shaft
Stages
2-stage and 3-stage
Catalog sizes
060 / 090 / 115 / 140

Round face / Ball bearings

MKEL Series

A projecting output shaft with a round mounting face and ball bearings. The round mounting pattern is the main layout difference from MKEB.

Output
Keyed or smooth shaft
Stages
2-stage and 3-stage
Catalog sizes
070 / 090 / 120 / 155

Square face / Tapered rollers

MKES Series

A square mounting face and projecting output shaft, with tapered-roller bearings on the main output shaft. Compare its radial and axial load ratings when shaft loads drive the selection.

Output
Keyed or smooth shaft
Stages
2-stage and 3-stage
Catalog sizes
060 / 075 / 100 / 140

Flange output / Six sizes

MKET Series

A flange output with a circular bolt pattern for connecting the driven component. Its six-size range includes the larger 200 and 255 sizes.

Output
Flange with circular bolt pattern
Stages
2-stage and 3-stage
Catalog sizes
064 / 090 / 110 / 140 / 200 / 255

1:1 drive / Low reduction ratios

MRB/MRL Series

Use MRB for a 1:1 right-angle drive, or MRL for reductions from 2:1 to 5:1. The two versions have different housing profiles and mounting dimensions.

Output options
Solid or hollow shaft; configuration dependent
Ratios
MRB: 1:1 / MRL: 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 5:1
Catalog sizes
42 / 60 / 90

Keyed shaft / Two sizes

MZSR Series

A keyed-shaft range in sizes 60 and 90, with reduction ratios extending beyond MRB/MRL. Choose from single-stage ratios of 3:1 to 10:1 or double-stage ratios of 15:1 to 100:1.

Output
Keyed shaft
Stages
Single stage or double stage
Catalog sizes
60 / 90

Ratio choices are discrete catalog configurations, not every value within a range. Output options and shaft-load capacity depend on the selected size and configuration; mounting patterns are not interchangeable.
